Formula > General Information β
Introduction β
Key Concepts β
- Formula are caracterized by a list of rules that define the behavior of the formula.
- A formula may only be associated with an
Identifier, aClassificationor aField.
Formulas evaluation β
- On a given item, rules targeting a given property are evaluated only if
- The property is an identifier, a classification or a common field according to the matrix definition of the table
- The property is a field specific to a category assigned to the current item, according to the matrix definition of the table
- Every rules are evaluated, in the set priority order (from 1 to 200), whereas in the mapping tool only the first matching rule is executed
- Rules are evaluated based on the current calculated fields values
- Meaning that, during a run, if a field is updated by a rule, the next evaluated rule is tested against the previously calculated value
- On a given item, rules targeting a given specific property are NOT evaluated if the specific property is NOT a field specific to a category assigned to the current item according to the matrix definition
Calculation β
- Every matching rule are calculated, the last executed rule overrides the value calculated by previous rules
- On a given item, only if a calculted field value or dynamic list is different from the existing one, the item is updated (Last updated date unchanged)
