Feature Toggle - Mapping - Source table edit β
Context β
The feature of editing links between tables makes it possible to link tables in order to view the products as the partners would see them and thus ensure the information that is visible to the partner.
It allows from these links to define data automation rules (Maping) which avoid manually entering the same information for each partners.
The links between tables can be defined from the interface of Product-Live App and via the Data Factory task rule-engine-import-rules
Documentation for editing table links is available here.
Impacts in the interface β
When the table linking feature toggle is disabled for an account, the feature impacts are as follows:
- The "Link tables" action is still present in the table menu
- When the user clicks on the "Link tables" action, an informative message is displayed to the user instead of the feature interface. This message explains:
- That the feature is not activated on the customer account
- What is the interest and use of it?
- Where is the documentation
- How to contact the Product-Live teams for a presentation of the feature
- The views of linked tables are not listed in the list of views of the detail view of an item.
The link to contact the Product-Live teams allows to create an e-mail pre-filled with the subject and the body of the message in order to facilitate contact by customers.
Backend impacts β
When the table linking feature toggle is disabled for an account, the feature impacts are as follows:
- No links between
<Source-Tables>tables can be created or modified with the rule-engine-import-rules task - No links between
<Source-Tables>tables can be exported with the rule-engine-export-rules task - The links between existing
<Source-Tables>tables remain saved
When the feature toggle is enabled again, these links between tables are again importable and exportable.
