Number format in Data-Factory

What makes a number valid?

• The only character allowed to represent the decimal of a floating number is .
• The maximum number of digits for a number is 15.
• A number can be preceded by the sign - to mean that it is a negative number (or optionally the + to mean that it is positive)
  • If this number is exported, the + will not be present
• Spaces at the end and beginning of a line are accepted, but will be removed at the time of the import
  • If this number is exported, it will be exported without those spaces
• Spaces to signify the thousands separator are not accepted
• A 0 is automaticallyy added before import to the numbers beginning with a .
  • .1 becomes 0.1
  • If this number is exported, it will be exported with the leading 0
• Numbers ending with a . are accepted. 1. becomes 1.
  • If this number is exported, it will be exported without the trailing .
• letters are not accepted in the representation of a number
  • 10e5 or 10 cm are not valid numbers
